Why I love PEM at Brown

Working at a children's hospital affiliated with Brown University provides us with the breadth of clinical and academic opportunities to explore any interests during fellowship! I feel lucky for the opportunity to learn how to manage both trauma and complex pediatric medical conditions in the ER while having access to a vast array of research opportunities and support. You can really pave your own path here. Many attendings have different interests, so there will always be someone to reach out to (or who will reach out to you) for mentorship. I know that training at Brown will provide me with the experience I need to feel confident and prepared to work anywhere as a PEM doc!

Why I love Rhode Island

I have been so happy with the change in lifestyle Rhode Island has given us! Everything is 10 minutes away with easy parking everywhere! The beaches and parks are beautiful with lots of events held throughout the week and a variety of food to try. The state's small size makes it so convenient to live in and easy for weekend travels to explore more of the northeast!
