What I love about working at Brown is that I am excited each time I walk into a shift in the ED. We are so fortunate to have a tight knit group of PEM docs who work well together and support each other both in the hospital and outside the hospital. We are also fortunate to be the only game in town. If you are a pediatric patient critically ill or injured in our region, you are coming to Hasbro ED. This gives us many interesting and challenging cases and the community really values what we do and the services we provide. This is very rewarding. I also love being part of The Department of Emergency Medicine at Brown University. A very innovative and stimulating academic group who also values PEM. It has been a great group for my academic career and personal growth.

What brings me joy outside of work is my family including my dog. We do a lot together including hiking, camping, boating and traveling. If they didn’t keep me grounded it would be hard to do what we do. I also love to read and have fairly eclectic tastes in music.
